A Salute Visa credit card is issued by Urban Trust Bank. This particular card is typically offered to people with bad credit or no credit history. It offers frequent credit monitoring, cash advancement and an unsecured credit feature. Because this card is primarily targeted to individuals who do not have strong credit histories, the fees and APR are much higher than traditional cards.

Instructions

1. Apply for a Salute Visa card. This is done by responding to the invitation that is sent through the mail.

2. Activate your Salute Visa card. Call the customer service number that is located on the sticker affixed to your Visa card in order to activate it.

3. Ensure your identity. While calling the customer service activation number, you'll need to verify your name, address and Social Security number to ensure your identity.

4. Agree to the terms and conditions. These may include an activation fee that ranges between $20 and $150, depending on the type of plan you are approved for. This fee can be charged directly to your new Salute visa credit card.

5. Sign the back of your new visa card.
