The Canon DC210 digital camcorder records video onto DVD. Users can immediately review video taken with the DC210 by playing it back on the LCD screen, but cannot view the video in another device, such as a DVD player, before finalizing the disc. By properly finalizing the disc, users ensure their video is saved to the DVD for playback on other devices.
Things You'll Need
- Power adapter
Plug the small end of the AC adapter into the "DC In" jack on the front right of the camcorder and connect the opposite end to an electrical outlet. The Canon DC210 will not finalize a disc on battery pack power alone. A loss of power during the finalizing process corrupts the disc.
Pull the LCD screen open and pres the "Func." button on the left side of the camcorder. A list of options will appear on the screen.
Choose "Menu" from the screen by highlighting the option using the navigation arrows and pressing the "Set" button. The navigation arrow buttons are found on the back of the camera, near the viewfinder. The "Set" button is located in the middle of the navigation arrows.
Select "Disc Operations > Finalize > Yes" to start finalizing the disc. A status bar appears on the LCD screen indicating the amount of time remaining before the disc is finalized.
Press the "Func." button to exit the menu when the status bar disappears from the screen.
