How to Sell Items on eBay Using the "Buy Now" Method

Sell items for a set price using "Buy It Now."

You can earn extra income by selling unwanted or unneeded items on eBay. One way to sell is by using eBay's simple "Buy It Now" feature. The "Buy It Now" feature allows buyers to purchase an item right away, so you can set a price and sell the item immediately rather than wondering how much it will go for in an auction and waiting for the bidding to end.

Instructions

1. Create an eBay account if you do not already have one (see Resources).

2. 

   A digital camera allows you to put photos on your computer.

   Take a picture of the item with a digital camera. Upload the picture to your computer.

3. Create your eBay listing by clicking on the "Sell an Item" link in the "Sell" menu at the top of the eBay page.

4. 

   Check the "Buy It Now" box.

   Fill in the necessary information pertaining to the item you're selling. When you get to the price portion of the listing, select "Auction Format" and check the "Buy It Now" box to add this feature.

5. Complete your listing, making sure you've added all the important information. Submit your listing to eBay.

Tips & Warnings

• Research similar items being sold on eBay so you can choose a competitive price for yours.

• If a buyer places a bid on your auction-style listing with a "Buy It Now" option, the "Buy It Now" option will disappear. Use a "Fixed Price" listing if you do not want buyers to have the option to bid.
