How to Display a Hat on a Table

Hats sell better when they're displayed well.

Hats can be both a fashion statement and a necessity. They can keep your ears warm or top off the perfect summer dress. If you choose to display your hats, either for decorative purposes or for a commercial venture, a table display is a good way to show off your collection.

Things You'll Need

• Flower pot
• Plastic foam
• Dowel
• Decorative stones
• Styrofoam ball

Instructions

1. Place plastic foam in the base of a flower pot. Vary the size of the pot depending on the size and weight of the hat. Smaller hats can be displayed on smaller pots and larger hats on larger pots.

2. Insert a dowel into the plastic foam. If you are displaying more than one hat, select different lengths of dowels to make the display more interesting.

3. Fill the pot with decorative stones. This will help weight the display and prevent it from tipping over from the weight of the hat.

4. Press a plastic foam ball onto the top of the dowel. Push it in just far enough so it does not wobble.

5. Place a hat over the plastic foam ball.
