Microsoft Publisher stands out among the top design software products. Publisher includes a generous amount of templates for many types of publications, including pamphlets. The template layouts look crisp and are easy to use. With a little effort, you can customize any template with fonts and colors of your choice.

Instructions

      Launch Microsoft Publisher and select File from the main menu, and then New. The Available Templates screen is displayed.

      Choose a design of your liking from one of the "Installed Templates.". You will see several different categories from which to choose, such as Office.com templates, Installed Templates (Informational, Price List and More Informational).

      Choose a template from this selection gallery and double-click it. The selected template is now displayed in the document window.

      Select the sections of the template you have chosen for your pamphlet and highlight the text to type in your desired text. Change the images' sizes by clicking them once and dragging the corner of the picture to any specific size you wish. To insert a new image, click on the "Insert" tab on the main menu and select the "Picture" icon and navigate to the directory of your image file. Resize, recolor and alter the image by selecting the image and double-clicking it to open the "Picture Tools" task menu.

      Click "File," "Save" and then the "Save" button in the "Save As" dialog box, and your Microsoft Publisher pamphlet is created.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can change the color scheme, design and typeface of your document without altering the overall content by clicking the "Page Design" tab on the main menu and experimenting with the page elements there.
