1
Decide where you want to position your storage box and how big you want it to be. Set concrete blocks in the area where you plan to install the storage deck box. These will act as a base and will be the corners under the box.

2
Measure the 3/4-inch plywood to match the six sides of the container that you're building. Your measurements will depend on how big your deck box will be. Mark guidelines on the plywood with a pencil line. Cut four pieces of boards to the size of the sides of your box and two pieces of boards for the top and bottom pieces of the box. Cut the pieces into the right sizes with a saw.

3
Attach the sides of the box. Squeeze a thick line of exterior waterproof glue on the edges where the boards will meet. Nail the boards together in a box shape, driving in 8-penny galvanized nails every three inches on every side.
-
4
Place a board on the top of the box and lay the carpenter's level to check that everything is straight. Connect the board to the frame. Nail it tightly to the sides of the box.
-
5
Flip the box over carefully so that it sits on its bottom. Screw on the metal corner braces on each corner of the box using a screwdriver and screws.
-
6
Nail the lid side of the hinges onto the outside top edge of one side of the box. Drive the nails in tightly with the hammer. Lay the last board on top of the box which will act as the cover of your storage deck box. Attach and nail it on the box side of the hinges.
