  1. Uninstall Parallels

    • 1

      Insert the Parallels CD into your Mac.

      Click "Uninstall Parallels."

      Open "Finder," "Applications" and "Utilities." Enter the following commands one at a time, pressing "Enter" after each: "cd /Library/StartupItems/," "sudo rm -rf Parallels," "cd /Applications," "sudo rm -rf Parallels," "cd /System/Library/Extensions/," "sudo rm -rf vmmain.kext," "sudo rm -rf hypervisor.kext," "sudo rm -rf," "Pvsvnic.kext," "sudo rm -rf ConnectUSB.kext," "sudo rm -rf Pvsnet.kext."

      Restart the computer.

    Uninstall Vista

      Insert the DOS boot CD into the computer.

      Restart the computer. Press any key to boot into DOS.

    • 7

      Type "format x:" and press "Enter," replacing "x" with the drive letter containing Vista.

      Press "Y" to confirm.
