How Can I Get Free Ringtones for My Tracfone?
Tracfone is one of the most popular prepaid cell phone service providers, and they even offer text messaging services. Tracfone offers you a ringtone download center where you can pay for ringtones just like most other cell phone providers do. With cell phones that aren't prepaid, you can get free ringtones texted to your phone. You can do the same with prepaid cell phones, too, except the process is a bit trickier because prepaid cell phone companies purchase their services through a variety of cell phone service providers.

Navigate to the Tracfone text messaging home page. Look on the back of your Tracfone cell phone to locate the serial number for your Tracfone. Type that serial number into the text box located beneath "Learn To Text Today!" and then press "Enter" in order to learn what your cell phone provider's text messaging extension is (e.g. number@message.alltel.com, number@vtext.com).

Navigate to your email account and create a new email message addressed to your Tracfone's 10-digit cell phone number followed by the text messaging extension you retrieved in Step 1 (e.g. xxxxxxxxxx@message.alltel.com).

Attach the ringtone you wish to send to your Tracfone to the email message by clicking "Attach" and selecting the ringtone from your computer's hard drive. Click "Send" to send the email message to your Tracfone (it will be delivered to your Tracfone as a text message).

Click "View" on your Tracfone to view the text message. Then press the right soft key for "Options" and select "Save as ringtone" from the options to save it to your Tracfone.

Tips & Warnings
Attach more than one ringtone to your message if you want to send more than one ringtone to your Tracfone at one time.
Do not include spaces or hyphens between the digits of your Tracfone cell phone number, or your text message will not go through.
