Select an envelope style to match your wedding invitations. Remember to choose a paper stock that will stand out from the recipient's regular mail. Colored envelopes, vellum, crepe and linen are all great choices for wedding invitation envelopes as long as they can be fed through an inkjet printer. Most specialty papers come in a version specifically designed for inkjet printers and can be found at your local stationery store.

Open your word processor and select the "Tools" or "Mailings" menu on the main toolbar. Next, click "Envelopes." A dialog box will appear with a space for your return mailing address and the delivery address. Enter the requested addresses and click "Add to Document." Do not click "Print" unless you are satisfied with using a default font for your envelopes. Once you click "Add to Document," your envelope will be shown as a editable document where you can adjust the font type, size and positioning.
