How to Mount Foam Sheets
You may want to mount a sheet of foam to a poster board for a presentation, to another foam sheet to thicken it, or for any crafting purpose where a sheet of foam can add to the design or structure of what you are creating. In order to mount foam sheeting properly, you need to use an adhesive that will work with both the foam and the material you are mounting it to. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

Mounting to Paper Materials
-
1
Cut strips of double-sided tape and smooth them onto the back of your foam sheet. Double-sided tape will not damage paper surfaces whereas glue could cause budges and bubbles in the paper.
-
2
Remove the paper backing from the tape strips and press the foam sheet to the surface you are mounting it to.
-
-
3
Smooth your finger along each area where you placed the tape to ensure a firm mount.
Mounting on Hard Surfaces
-
4
Apply a bead of hot glue along each edge of the foam sheet (on the back), and place a few lines of glue in the center of the sheet as well.
-
5
Place the foam sheet against the surface that you are mounting it to, carefully. Do not allow the glue to drip, as it can burn your skin.
-
6
Smooth the foam sheet onto the surface to smooth out any air bubbles or raised spots. As you spread the foam sheet, some glue may begin to seep from the edges of the foam. Wipe it away with a paper towel before it dries.
