How to Replace an Auto Headlamp
The headlights on your automobile are one of the more important components of your car's overall safety system. It becomes a necessity when you are driving at night or in low visibility conditions like fog. The headlights allow you to see the road in front of you and also make sure oncoming traffic is aware of your car. Replacing the headlamp on your car promptly when it goes out not only ensures your safety but is an easy task to accomplish.

Open the hood of your car and prop it up with the hood latch. The headlight assembly for each headlamp will be on either side on the front of the hood.

Remove the screws or clips holding the back cover of the headlight assembly to the frame, which exposes the back end of the headlight.

Pull the electrical connector gently off the back of the headlight to expose the headlamp. Turn the lamp counterclockwise and remove it from the housing.

Insert the new headlamp into the housing and turn it clockwise to secure it. Push the electrical connector into the back of the headlight.

Screw or snap the cover onto the back of the headlight assembly.

Turn on the headlights in your car to test them. Close and secure the hood.

Tips & Warnings
Replace the headlamps in pairs to ensure the continuity of both headlamps.
Turn off your car before you remove the lamp to avoid the possibility of electrical shock.
