How to Obtain an Imei Number
An International Mobile Equipment Identity number is used for helping you and the cell phone companies keep track of your cell phone. In case your phone is stolen or lost, the cell phone company just enters the IMEI number of your phone into the database and deactivates the phone permanently. IMEI number is also very helpful in cases where you want to unlock your phone for use with other network providers.

Slide off the battery cover of the phone, and take the battery out.

Find the white label under the battery area. Usually, the IMEI number is printed on this area. You can identify the number because it consists of 15 digits without any slashes or letters. If the there are more than 15 digits, copy only the first 15 digits. If you are unable to find this number here, go to Step 3.

Put the battery back, and turn the phone on. Let it initialize.

Press *#06# on the keypad of the phone. Send this code, and a 15-digit number will appear on your phone's screen. This is your phone's IMEI number.
