How to Change Voices on a Navman S80

The Navman S80 is part of the S-series of in-car navigation units sold in Australia. Like many other automotive GPS systems, the S80 has the ability to offer voice prompts. These prompts offer turn-by-turn assistance, which helps you keep your eyes on the road, instead of staring at the screen. You can change the voice prompts to a different voice, such as "UK-Female," depending on your personal preferences.

Instructions

1. Tap the menu button in the corner to access the main menu. The button is not labeled with text; it is a green icon with six small dots.

2. Tap the arrow in the bottom-right corner to view page two. Press the "Preferences" button.

3. Tap the arrow in the bottom-right corner to view page two of the preferences menu. Tap "Language."

4. Make sure "Enable Voice Guidance" has a check mark next to it. If it doesn't, tap the box the enable the feature.

5. Tap the section underneath "Enable Voice Guidance." This is the voice-option setting.

6. Select your desired voice from the list by tapping it. Press the "Back" arrow, and then press the green button to return to the main menu.
