How to Make a Collage on Photoshop CS
Photoshop is the flagship program of the Adobe corporation. Their CS version (also known as Photoshop 8) is hardly the latest version, but it does have a number of powerful tools and features that will allow a graphics artists to accomplish any number of graphics tasks. One of the most common uses for Photoshop is in altering or combining photos. One example of this would be creating a collage based on a series of photos.

Load the photos that you want to use in your collage onto your computer, either by scanning them in from printed copies or by copying them from a digital camera or SD card.

Open Photoshop. Select "File" and click "New." In the document dialog that pops up, make the pixel width and height what you want for the overall collage you want creating. If the collage will be placed against another background (like a web page) make the "Background" "Transparent." name the document "Collage 1" (or whatever you like) and click "OK."

Select "File" and click "Open." In the dialog that pops up, browse to one of the images that you want for your collage and open it. Right-click on the layer in the "Layers" panel and select "Duplicate." In the dialog that pops up, make the collage document your destination and click "OK."

Repeat step 3 to bring all of your images into the collage document. You will see that each has come in on its own layer. Select and image layer. Then use the "Move" functions to place the image where you want it in the overall collage. Repeat this for all of the image layers.

Use the "Rotate" and "Scale" functions under "Transform" to make further adjustments to the images in the collage.

Select "File" and click "Save." In the dialog, save your collage as a GIF.
