How to Create a Screen Movie in iMac
A screen movie, or screen recording, is a video that records what is happening on the screen of your computer. The Mac OS X operating system included with an iMac contains the QuickTime Player application. QuickTime 10, also called QuickTime X, has a screen recording option that allows you to record the screen of your computer as a video. You can also turn on your iMac’s built-in microphone to include narration with the screen recording.

Hi, and thanks for this tip. I've been trying out various softwares for doing this, but all the good ones are expensive. This worked perfectly, even the sound! The only downside is that you have to record the whole screen, rather than select a smaller area to work in. Thanks again Alan
