How to Delete User History
Protecting privacy is important, especially when it comes to your computer. If you live with family members or roommates, guard against snooping by deleting the user history in the computer's web browser. Three popular web browsers are Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari. Each browser allows the user to delete browsing and download history, cookies and cache, login information and preferences. Deleting user history will help keep your matters private.

Close any open Internet Explorer windows. Click "Start," then click on "Control Panel."

Select "Internet Options."

Click the tab labeled "General," then select "Clear History."

Click "Yes," then click "OK." This will close the Internet Options dialog box.
Firefox

Go to "Tools" in the menu bar.

Navigate to "Options" and click on the "Privacy" tab at the top of the Options dialog box.

Select the "Clear Your Recent History" link. Choose "Everything" from the "Time Range to Clear" dropdown.

Check mark all of the boxes in the "Clear Recent History" dialog box. Click "Clear Now."
Safari

Go to "History" in the menu bar and select "Clear History." This will clear the recent history.

Navigate to "Safari," then choose "Preferences" in the menu bar.

Click the "Security" icon, then click the "Show Cookies" button. Select "Remove All," then click "Done."

Click the "Autofill" icon in the "Preferences" dialog box. Click the "Edit" button next to "Other Forms."
Click "Remove All," then hit "Done." Close the "Preferences" dialog box. -

Go to "Safari" and choose "Empty Cache" in the menu bar. Hit "OK" to clear the cache history.

Navigate to "Window" and choose "Downloads" in the menu bar. When the list of downloads appears, click "Clear" in the bottom left corner to delete downloaded material.
