How to Link Wireless Speakers
If your home has a stereo or surround-sound system you may have become fed up with messy look of the small wires running from the speakers to the receiver and back. To streamline the look of your electronics, use wireless speakers for your stereo or surround-sound receiver. Doing so removes the wires from your receiver and gives you the ability to position the speakers wherever you see fit.

1
Insert the batteries into the wireless speaker. Although many wireless speakers do come with power cords allowing you to connect to a local power outlet, the batteries give you the ability to place the speakers anywhere. The exact battery size is going to vary depending on your make and model, but most systems use C or D sized batteries.

2
Position the wireless speaker receiver next to the actual stereo or surround sound receiver. This receiver sends out the wireless signals to the wireless speakers. Wireless speakers typically come in pairs of two.

3
Insert the cables running out of the wireless speaker receiver into the speaker ports on the back of the stereo/surround sound receiver. This sends the audio signal from the stereo receiver into the wireless receiver. The wireless receiver than transmits the wireless information to the speakers.
-
4
Place the wireless speakers in any location around the room. This gives you the freedom to place the speakers high up on shelves or in the open without any wires being in the way.
-
5
Power on the wireless receiver and the stereo/surround sound receiver.
