How to Make Homemade Halloween Costumes for Two People
When trying to decide on a costume theme for two people, there are a couple of ways to go: take two inanimate things that go together - for example, peanut butter and jelly, salt and pepper or a hamburger and french fries - and make them into two costumes. These kind of costumes can be difficult to make and wear, but capture attention. The other way to go is to dress as two people, or, preferably, monsters, that go together. A couple of vampires, mummies or zombies can be put together with thrift store items, household items, and a little special effects makeup. The corpse bride and groom is an example of a homemade Halloween costume for two.

1
Purchase suit and dress, unless you have appropriate clothing that you are willing to destroy. In addition to an old black suit or tux and dress, look for optional accessories like a top hat.
-
2
Rub clothing and tulle in the dirt. Rip holes with scissors in the clothes until they look tattered, but are still wearable without falling off.

3
Make the veil by placing the headband on the "bride's" head. Drape tulle over the head so that it falls more or less evenly all around. Mark where the tulle sits on the headband. Remove both and glue tulle onto the headband with fabric glue. Dry completely.

Put on costume and apply a thin coat of vegetable oil, followed by liquid latex, anywhere you want a fake gash or loose skin effect. If applying to an area with a lot of hair, shave before applying liquid latex for the easiest removal. For gashes, apply several layers and shape open wounds with a putty knife. For loose skin, allow latex to dry and partially peel off.

5
Apply a mixture of white and green Halloween makeup on all exposed skin, including latex effects, giving it a pale green "zombie" look. It should not look opaque. Use black makeup around the eyes to make them appear sunken. Dust lightly with baby powder for a more ashen look.

6
Add fake blood to latex wounds, around mouths and, if desired, drip onto clothing around the neckline. Finish with the veil and any accessories.
