How to Draw a Boy & Girl Holding Hands
Human hands are the trickiest things to draw, especially if the hands are curled or clenched in any way. So when you are trying to draw people holding hands, the key is to lay out where everything will go before trying to tackle the intricate details of the actual hands themselves. This way, you can direct all of your focus and make sure you get a polished final product.

Glide a sharpened pencil over a piece of drawing paper to form a very light outline of two people standing near each other. Designate the heads with circles and draw a line coming from each body toward each other.

Fill in any characteristics that you'd like your boy and girl to have, leaving out any details on the lines that will eventually become the arms and holding hands. Sketch the outline of the girl's silhouette, then the boy's, so that the two are looking at each other. Draw in both hairstyles and visible facial features.

Add all additional details to the drawing, including their clothing and the setting around them. Begin to draw the arms that are reaching for each other, and stop at the wrist line.

Draw the boy's entire hand first. The hand should reach downward and curve up in a cradling position. Add the girl's hand next, carefully, laying within the boy's cradled hand. Use angles to help position fingers and thumbs, but keep the lines soft and relaxed so the area doesn't look overworked.

Use an eraser to eliminate any overlapping lines within the hands and entire drawing to clean it up.
