How to Remove a Radio in an Infinity FX45

The Infiniti FX45 is a luxury SUV with lots of aftermarket features. The factory stereo does have a lot of options, but stereos available through the aftermarket have even more. To get an aftermarket stereo into the car, you first have to remove the stereo, which is integrated with the climate controls in one piece. This should take about 15 minutes to do correctly.

• Dash trim removal tool

Instructions

1. Place the tip of the dash trim removal tool between the radio and the dashboard. Push the trim removal tool towards the dashboard to leverage the clips free that hold the panel in the dash. Work your way around the panel until each clip is released.

2. Pull the stereo off of the dashboard. Tilt it to the side and hold it steady with one hand.

3. Unplug the wiring on the backside of the stereo and climate control assembly using your hands. Then pull the stereo out of the SUV.
