How to Make Money From Buying Lots on eBay
Many people would like to make money online but simply don't know how. One way is through buying lots on eBay and then selling each item individually for a profit. For example, let's say you buy a lot of 50 ink pens for $50 through eBay. If you then sell each pen individually for $2 through eBay, you have just made $50 of profit! Please note that this is a simplified example because eBay fees and shipping costs weren't included in the calculation.

1
Create an eBay account and a PayPal account. Both web sites have easy-to-follow instructions on how to create an account.
-
2
Search through eBay's auctions for lots. For instance, if you would like to sell DVD's on eBay, type "DVD lot" in the search box on ebay.com. This query will return several auctions of DVD lots. As an example, let's say you see a lot of 10 brand-new DVDs of the movie "Gladiator"; the lot is listed for $20 as a Buy-It-Now listing with free shipping.

Research completed-listing prices to find out if you can make a profit by selling the items in this lot one at a time. Click on the "Advanced search" link, which is located to the right of the search box. Click on the box next to "Completed listings"; a checkmark will appear in the box. In the search box, type the name of the item for which you wish to see completed-listing prices. In the case of our example, type "Gladiator DVD" in the search box.

4
View several of the completed auctions and calculate the average selling price. Let's say you discover that an individual DVD of "Gladiator" sells for an average of $5 and $2 for shipping for a total of $7. If you were to offer them for sale at the same price, after subtracting eBay fees, PayPal fees, and shipping costs, you would have $4 left over from the $7 the buyer sends to you. Multiply the $4 by 10 DVD's, and you get $40. Subtract the original $20 you would have spent on the lot of DVD's from the $40 you would make by selling all 10 DVD's individually, and you will see that you would have $20 of profit.

5
Buy the lot. Check the seller's feedback profile to make sure that he is a reputable seller. If the seller has several negative comments from buyers, don't buy from that seller.
-
6
List the items individually on eBay.
