Internet options gives you the choice to do a variety of things, like change the way the Internet is configured on your computer, decide which programs you use for various tasks, and even change the way that your computer accesses the Internet. Any of the options that are located in the Control Panel are options that you can either enable to make them go. you can also disable them to make them stop. It's not difficult to disable Internet options in Control Panel.

      Click "Start" and then choose "Control Panel."

      Click on "Internet Options" within the Control Panel.

      Scroll through the various options that are listed. When you get to one that you would like to disable, click on it and select "Disable" or uncheck the box next to it, which is the same as disabling the function. This is the process for Windows SE and ME. For Windows XP, you will click "Internet Properties," but you will then have to go through the various property listings and choices under that category and under "Advanced" and choose what you would like to change or disable. Disabling functions in XP is more often seen and choosing to turn off options or heighten security options.
