How to Remove Waterproof Makeup
Waterproof makeup is great for making sure your eyes stay gorgeous all day. It can keep your face in check when you're working up a sweat at the gym or taking a swim. However, the silicone-based formula that helps it stay on all day can be quite difficult to remove. Many everyday cleansers meant for dirt and regular makeup fail to take off waterproof products, and this can be quite annoying. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Cotton pad, preferably the round, flat ones available at the drugstore
- Makeup remover made especially for waterproof makeup

Shake the contents of the makeup remover bottle. The solution is often oil based and needs to be mixed together for optimal use.

Pour a generous amount of the makeup remover solution onto the cotton pad.

Rub the pad over your closed eyelids, being careful not to pull the skin around your eyes. Wiggle it gently over the eyelashes and massage out the hardened makeup. Then open your eyes and rub the pad underneath to get the remainder of the makeup off.

Repeat several times if necessary.

If you are in a hurry and don't have any eye-makeup remover available, try using a cotton pad with some moisturizer to remove the eye makeup.
You don't have to spend a lot of money, but make sure you are purchasing a reputable product. The eye area is very sensitive, and poor quality products can cause irritation. Ask someone at the drugstore or department store for help in choosing a safe product
