How to Install an Undermount Stainless-Steel Sink

Things You'll Need
- Tape measure
- 2-by-4
- Circular saw
- Mount clips
- Pliers
- Caulking
- PVC drain pipes
- Channel locks
- Plumber's putty

Measure the sink to the hole in the countertop, using a tape measure. Place the sink in the countertop and have a helper hold it in place.

Measure from the bottom of the sink to the bottom of the sink cabinet. Use these measurements and cut the 2-by-4 with the circular saw.

Place the 2-by-4 under the sink to hold it. Place the mount clips to the bottom of the sink every three inches and bolt them down with the pliers. Do this all the way around the bottom of the sink.

Caulk around the sink to make a seal that will not leak. Place the drain pipes on. Start with the drain that has the plumber's putty around it.

Push the drain down and tighten the drain from the bottom with the channel locks. Clean off excess putty around the drain.

Remove the 2-by-4 from under the sink and get ready to put in the drain.

Put the PVC drain in, using the PVC pipe and trap. Tighten all clamps with the channel locks.
