How to Install G-Force 3D Video Cards
Installation of a G-Force 3D video card varies depending on the G-Force model and the type of motherboard you have. Some G-Force video cards use AGP slots, whereas some older G-Force video cards may use PCI slots. G-Force video cards also require installation of specific drivers so that the operating system will recognize the G-Force hardware. To manually install the G-Force video card, you may need additional tools.
Things You'll Need
- G-Force drivers CD
- Computer manuals (optional)
- Screwdriver (optional)
- Anti-static wristband (optional)
Instructions

1
Shut down your computer completely before installing any new video hardware. Remove the power supply cable from your electrical output to prevent any electrical damage during the installation.
-
2
Ground yourself by using an anti-static wristband or touching a metal surface; you should also do the installation on a non-static prone surface, so avoid carpets and rugs.
-
-
3
Open up the computer case by removing the side panel. This most likely will require either a flathead of Philips screwdriver. If your computer doesn't have screws, you may have to slide the side off by pressing releases.
-
4
Locate the video card slot. Your video card will either use a PCI or AGP slot. If you are unsure what type of video card you have, refer to your manual. Your computer manual also will have information on locating your PCI and AGP slots on your motherboard. Generally, the PCI and AGP slots are located on the bottom of the motherboard toward the back side of the computer case.
-
5
Insert your G-Force video card into the appropriate slot. G-Force video cards also have a metal clip on the back end that will fit into the backside of the computer case. Depending on your case, you will either have to screw this clip in or secure it by pressing down a lever or release.
-
6
Put the computer side panel back on and reconnect any previously disconnected cables after you have installed the G-Force card. Turn on the computer and allow your operating system to load.
-
7
Insert the CD and follow the steps to install the G-Force drivers. Continue through the process by clicking "next" or "Accept" until the drivers are installed. Once you have finished going through the setup process, reboot your computer.
