In order to get married in Arizona the bride and groom must first apply for a marriage license. The process differs from state to state, and it's important to know all of the necessary guidelines for a marriage license in your state before you apply. Arizona does not require blood tests or copies of divorcee decrees. Additionally, the applicants do not need to be Arizona residents. You can have a wedding the same day you receive your marriage license or you can wait; however, you must marry within one year of the license's issue date or it will expire.

      Go to the closest county clerk's office in Arizona. The bride and broom must be present to apply for the marriage license application.

      Present a driver's license or a different form of identification for each person that shows proof of identity, date of birth and current address. It's a good idea to also bring a copy of your birth certificate.

      Complete the application given to you at the county clerk's office. Fill out all required information, which includes names, birth dates and social security numbers.

      Pay the fee for the license. As of 2010, the marriage license fee is $72, and can be paid by cash, check, debit card or credit card.
