How to Design a Great Garage Sale Flyer
Garage sales are a great way to clear out all the unwanted items in your home while making some extra money along the way. The key to having a successful garage sale is getting a lot of people to come and have a look around. Advertising is essential to having a well-attended garage sale, and the key to advertising your garage sale is a top-notch flyer.

1
Grab their attention. Collect all the necessary information including the exact address of the garage sale, and what day, date and time it will be operating. If people can't find the garage sale and don't know when it is, they will never come.
-
2
Pick out a bright color for the flyer. It's hard to get people's attention, so an eye-popping green or a vibrant yellow will make it stand out and get noticed.

3
Draw the flyer. Using bright-colored markers, put "GARAGE SALE" in huge letters at the top so people know what the flyer is advertising. Make sure the writing is neat and legible so people can clearly read it. Underneath put all the necessary information. Include some of the items that might be available and some pictures of some of the things people will be able to buy. Don't clutter it to the point where people don't know what they are looking at.
-
4
Make copies of your flyer. Using the same bright paper, print off as many copies of the flyer as you think you'll need.
-
5
Put the flyer up all over the neighborhood and in high-volume areas around where you live. There is no use in making a great flyer if nobody ever sees it. Placing the advertisement in strategic locations across the city or town can help ensure your garage sale is well attended.
