The first generation iPod Nano was a revolutionary device that brought many of the prized features of the iPod and the iPod Mini in a newer, sleeker shell. This version of the iPod Nano was also capable of operating as an external hard drive, which could be used as storage for videos, music, photos and documents. With the help of the iPod's music software iTunes, putting videos on the iPod Nano in hard disk mode is a simple process that can be done quickly.
