How to Install Playstation 2 With Digital TV

Connect the red, white and yellow plugs on the PS2 cable to a digital TV for gaming action.

A PlayStation 2 gaming console connects to a digital TV with three audio-video cables. The plug on the other end of the cables is a unique connector that fits on the jack on a PlayStation 2. The three color-coded cables terminate in composite 1/4-inch plugs that fit standard AV jacks on the back of digital TV sets. All equipment needed for the hookup comes with the PS2. The connection should take less than 10 minutes.

Instructions

1. Insert the flat plug on one end of the PS2 cable to the AV multi-out connector on the back of the gaming console on the right-hand side.

2. Insert the red, white and yellow AV plugs on the other end of the cable into the matching jacks on the back of the digital TV. The three jacks will be clustered together and may be labeled Composite IN.

3. Connect the DC power plug to the jack on the back of the PS2 console and plug the other end into a wall outlet.

4. Turn on the PS2 and digital TV, then press the "Input" button on the TV remote control repeatedly until the PS2 main screen displays on the TV.

Tips & Warnings

• Unplug the PS2 from the electricity while connecting the AV cables to the digital TV.
