How to Check If Online Companies Are Legit

1
Examine the online company's website. Review each page of the website: "about us" page, terms, refund policy, contact information, etc. Reviewing the website will give you a deeper insight about the company.
-
2
Locate the physical address. Every company has a "brick-and-mortar" location. If this isn't easily identifiable on line, use the "Contact Us" link or webmaster email address, if available, or call the telephone number. You may be able to also find the address by Googling the company.

3
Get your questions answered by calling the company. Companies that are trying to sell you a product or service should be willing to answer your questions. Research the company on the Internet for third-party reviews, business practices and customer testimonials.

Contact the Better Business Bureau on line at www.bbb.org. You will be required to enter in the name of the company and the BBB will inform you instantly if there is any negative information on the company.
