How to Design Your Own 12 Month Calendar for Free
It is simple to create your own personalized free calendar, whether you regularly complete craft projects or can barely draw a straight line. Decide on a theme for your new calendar. Pictures, colors, favorite quotations or songs can be sources of inspiration. Make the calendar as simple or extravagant as you like by following a few basic steps.
Things You'll Need
- 12 sheets of paper
- Stapler
- Ruler
- Pencil
- 12 pictures
- Glue
- Scissors
- Crayons
- Markers
- Colored pencils
- Stickers

Fold 12 sheets of paper in half, forming a crease. Unfold the paper, and align the stack. Staple a few times along the crease to secure the packet.

Measure and outline five blocks down and seven across on one half of a sheet of paper with a ruler and pencil.

Choose a picture, and apply glue evenly to the back of it. If needed, cut the image to size with scissors before applying glue.

Position the image, glue side down, on the blank half of the paper that does not have blocks drawn on it.

Work your fingers over the picture, smoothing out any bubbles. Let it set so the glue can dry.

Repeat the steps for each calendar page.

Note birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and other dates to remember creatively with crayons, markers or colored pencils. Add stickers of birthday cakes and holiday icons to further enhance your new calendar.

Tips & Warnings
Locate a free calendar template online, or create one with your word-processing program. Add months, days, and dates to each calendar page. Print them out, and then decorate them as described in Step 7.
Draw images instead of using printed pictures.
Create a comic for each month.
Add lace, buttons and other embellishments.
Use colored paper instead of white.
When printing images from the Internet, make sure you choose noncopyrighted images.
