How to Install a Java Plugin for Firefox
Java is a cross-platform programming language that works on most computer operating systems and websites. Many websites use Java technology to power applications, games, video and audio. Installing a Java plugin in your Firefox browser will allow you to access Java-based content. The Java plugin is free to add on to the Firefox browser and you can install it in less than five minutes.

Double-click the Firefox icon on your desktop to open a new browser window.

Click "Tools" at the top of the browser on the main menu bar. Click "Add-ons" from the drop-down menu. A new "Add-ons" window will open.

Select the "Get Add-ons" tab. Type "Java" in the search box to bring up a list of available Java plugins.

Select the latest version of the Java plugin that is available. For example, choose Java Console Plugin version 6.0.02 over version 6.0.00.

Click the "Add to Firefox" button. The Java plugin will automatically download and install. You will receive notification when the installation is successful.

Restart Firefox. Close the browser and reopen it to activate the plugin. You can also activate the plugin by navigating to "Tools" from the main menu, selecting "Add-ons" and clicking on the "Plugins" tab. Scroll down the list until you find the Java plugin, select it and click the "Enable" button.
