How to Make Money With Fire Wood
Selling firewood can be an effective source for a second income, which is helpful in trying economic times. Or, if you have a large enough timber supply, it could become your primary income source. Everyone with a wood-burning stove needs it, people with fireplaces need it and even some restaurants need it.

1
Chainsaw Cut the wood to appropriate lengths with the chainsaw. A normal piece of firewood is generally about 12-15 inches long.
-
2
Timber wedge Quarter the wood with the splitter or drive it apart with the wedge. If the wood is smaller in diameter, splitting the wood in half may be better. Either way, a piece of firewood should be about 6-8 inches wide on each split side.

3
Stack the wood neatly in a place with plenty of passing traffic. Ensure it is either your property or you have the permission of the property owner.
-
4
Create an attractive sign on the plywood using the spray paint. Note what you are selling and your prices. "Cedar firewood: $300 per cord," for example.
