How to Refill an Epson InkJet Printer
If you use your Epson Inkjet printer a little too frequently, you would know that replacing the inkjet cartridge again and again can be pretty expensive. However, there is one way you can stop spending so much money on purchasing new cartridges, and that's by refilling the old one. By refilling an expired cartridge, you can put it to use again.
Things You'll Need
- Old Epson inkjet cartridge
- Paper towels/ newspaper
- Ink
- Syringe
- Syringe needle
Instructions
-
-
1
Spread out paper towels or newspapers on a flat surface like a counter top or a table.
-
2
Take the expired Epson cartridge out of the printer and put it on the table with its top side up.
-
-
3
Peel off the label from the top of the Epson cartridge. If it is a colored printer cartridge, there will be more than one colored label, so peel off only that color, which you want to refill. You will find two holes underneath the label.
-
4
Insert the needle of the syringe into the inkbottle and fill the syringe up to approximately 10 milliliters.
-
5
Insert the syringe's needle into the lower hole of the cartridge. Keep pushing the needle inside until it hits the bottom plastic. Pull it back just a bit (this is necessary to prevent spraying and spilling).
-
6
Gently press on the syringe' plunger and slowly inject the ink.
-
7
Put the label back on the cartridge. If you want to refill any other colors as well, peel off the respective color label; use a clean syringe and needle and follow the same instructions as above.
