You must activate JavaScript in the BlackBerry to view certain web pages.

The BlackBerry 8310 is a smart phone manufactured by Research in Motion. The phone has the capability to make calls, check email and access the Internet, making it a must-have for a business person on the go. Although the phone is capable of accessing the Internet, you have to give it permission to display certain sites that use a programming language called Java. Once JavaScript is activated on the phone, you will be able to view these web pages.

      Press the power button to turn the BlackBerry phone on. Allow the phone to boot up.

      Press the Menu button on the phone. The Menu button is located to the left of the track ball.

      Scroll until you find the "Browser" icon. Press the trackball to open the web browser.

      Press the Menu button when you are in the browser. Scroll down to "Options" on the menu screen and press the trackball to select it. Scroll to "Browser Configuration" and press the trackball to open the configuration options menu.

      Scroll to the "Support JavaScript" selection and press the trackball to select it. Press the menu key and scroll to "Save Options." Click the track ball to save.

Tips & Warnings

  • Enabling JavaScript may slow down the performance of the browser. Be aware that this will affect the performance of the phone before you change the configurations.
