Instructions

    • 1

Find a calendar for the year you wish to make that lists the French holidays, if you do not already know them. Also take note of the proper spellings for months and days in French.

    • 2

Find a calendar template website, such as PDF Calendar and My Free Calendar Maker. If the website allows you to enter the information online, follow the instructions, typing the French month and day names and holidays, such as All Saints Day and Bastille Day, as well as holidays you celebrate. If you would rather do this by hand, print 12 copies of a blank month template. For a professional look, use stencils to help write the month and day names in a nice font.

    • 3

Go to a website with free stock photography like FotoSearch and ShutterStock and search for France photography. Seek out specific images or browse the selection. Try to match the pictures with the season; for example, choose a picture of the beach in Nice for July and a snowy Eiffel Tower for January. Choose one picture for each month.

    • 4

Print each image. For a professional look, print on high-quality glossy paper the same size as the paper with the calendar months.

    • 5

Laminate your pictures and calendar months. If you do not have a laminator, take your calendar to a nearby office supply store that offers laminating services.

    • 6

Lay down the month of December in front of you. Place the corresponding image face down and upside down on top of it. Place the month of November right side up on top of that and its corresponding image face down and upside down. Continue backward through the months until you end with January's image, face down and upside down.

    • 7

Hold the stack so the months are right side up. Punch two to three holes along the top edge of the stack and attach them together either with string or small metal ring fasteners, being sure to leave enough room for them to open. When you pull the top page up, the image of January should appear above the month.
