How to Report Fedex Email Scams

There are many individuals lurking around on the Internet in pursuit of ill-gotten gains. One of the ways to receive those gains is via fraudulent emails, also known as scams. There are quite a few email scams that might land in your email inbox with the FedEx name attached to it. The intention of the individual sending the email is to obtain access to your confidential information. In an effort to protect consumers, FedEx has a protocol in place that will allow you to report email scammers who are illegally using the FedEx name.

Instructions

1. Log into the email account to which the fraudulent FedEx email message was sent.

2. Open the email folder in which the fraudulent email is located. For example, your "Inbox" or "Spam" folder.

3. Double click on the fraudulent email message to open it. Do not open any attachment that may have been sent with the email. Opening the attachment can place your computer at risk of becoming infected with a virus.

4. Click the "Forward" button. In the "To" field, type "[e-mail]."

5. Click "Send" to forward the email to FedEx's abuse team.

6. Contact your bank or credit card company's "Fraud" department if your financial accounts are affected as a result of the email scam. In most cases, the fraud department of your bank or creditor will open a claim and launch an investigation of the dispute.
