How to Convert Shockwave Flash to a Movie on a Mac

The Flash movie format, stored with the SWF extension, is an animation created in Adobe Flash that typically appears on the Internet. SWF is short for Small Web Format and is pronounced “swiff.” When you’re using a Mac, it’s hard to play SWF files in any program outside of Adobe Flash. Thus, you may wish to convert SWF files into the Mac’s standard movie format, the MOV file, which can be played hassle-free in QuickTime. Converting from SWF to MOV can be done for free with an online conversion tool.
