Accessing the Setting
Click on the start menu and go to the "All Programs" folder.
Go to the "Accessories" folder.
Go to the "Entertainment" folder.
Click on "Volume Control."
Under the "Microphone Volume" properties, click "Advanced."
Under the tone controls in the advanced options, you have a bass and treble slider. Change these to whatever settings you feel improves microphone recording quality.
