How to Change Ford 500 Wiper Blades

Ford recommends changing wiper blades once a year.

Eventually the windshield wiper blades on your Ford 500 will start to wear out and stop working. Driving in the rain with old wiper blades will impair your sight, which is dangerous for you and the other drivers on the road. According to the owner's manual, Ford recommends changing the wiper blades on a Ford 500 once a year.

Instructions

1. Lift the wiper arm away from the car.

2. Rotate the blade on the arm about 90 degrees. The blade and the arm will look like the letter "T" with the blade being the top part of the "T."

3. Pull the old blade straight out of the arm.

4. Position the new blade in the "T" position.

5. Rotate and snap the new blade into the arm.

6. Ease the arm back on to the windshield.

Tips & Warnings

• Periodically clean the blades with a sponge and rubbing alcohol to prolong the life of the blade.
