How to Troubleshoot an InFocus X2 Projector
InFocus designed its X2 projector with the home and small-office user in mind, with basic input options and support for common entertainment media like DVD videos. Various glitches or malfunctions may occasionally arise that can affect the projector's image quality or make it stop working altogether. Troubleshoot such issues to identify the underlying problem and get back to projecting presentations and movies.

1
Check that the X2 is connected to an outlet and powered on if it's not projecting. Locate its power port and power switch on the right side of the device when the projector's lens is facing you. Ensure that the projector's lens cap has been removed.

2
Verify that the projector is connected to a media source if it's powered on but only projecting a blue screen. If you are using a computer, verify that the serial cable is plugged securely into the back of both the X2 and your computer. If you are using a media device such as a DVD player, verify that the X2's included audio/visual cable is inserted into the DVD player. Each end of the cable is color coded for the plug into which it should be inserted (e.g. connect the yellow cable into the DVD player's yellow port).

3
Adjust the X2's focus if the projected images are blurry. Grasp the plastic casing around the project's lens and turn it to the right or left to make it zoom in or out. Turn it until the image is clear.
-
4
Reposition the X2 if the image is focused but crooked. The project has plastic legs on its front ends that can be raised or lowered by pulling them down or pushing them up into the body of the device. Adjust as needed so the project is angled evenly.
