Uniden land-line phones are cordless phones that are popular with businesses and individuals alike. You have the ability to choose between a prerecorded message for voicemail, or you can voice your own message. Using your own voice for a voicemail message adds a personal touch and is customizable, unlike the robotically prerecorded message option. You can set up the voicemail from your Uniden land phone by changing the settings on the menu.
Press the "Mute" button on your phone's menu. This will access the voicemails currently in your mailbox and start to play them.
Hit "5" on the keypad to interrupt the message playback. You will hear a series of beeps, which is the phone accessing its command center.
Hit "8" on the keypad to record your voice greeting. You will hear a robotic voice that says,"Record greeting." After you hear this, begin speaking to record your message. It must be between two and 30 seconds long.
Hit "8" when you are done recording. Wait to hear your greeting played back to you, then hang up the phone. The new voicemail automatically becomes the default voicemail greeting.
Tips & Warnings
- If you have multiple handsets, you can only use one phone at a time to change the greeting. If you have more than one base phone, you must change the message for each base.
