How to Enable DHCP on Your Computer
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a network tool for managing Internet connections. DHCP helps download an IP address and connects it to other components such as adapters and networking devices. These settings allow a computer to connect online, with a use of a modem, router or other device. The DHCP service must be enabled on a Windows computer for it to successfully connect to the Internet.
