How Can I Find a Person Whose Number Is Disconnected?

Save

The Internet has made it easier than ever to find people, even people whose phone numbers no longer work. Although a person might not be listed in a phone book anymore, chances are that the person is listed somewhere on the Internet. When searching the Internet for people, you will probably run into some scams. However, many websites such as search engines offer free resources for finding information about locating people. You may find that a person has simply switched his phone number but the paper phone books have not yet been updated. Many Internet websites are updated regularly, which helps when searching for a person.

Things You'll Need

  • Internet connection

ZabaSearch

  • Open your Internet browser and go to "ZabaSearch.com."

  • Type in the name of the person you are searching for in the field below "People Search by Name." Type in the first and last name for more accurate results. If you know the state where the person lives, select the state from the list.

  • Click on "Free People Search" and your browser will open a new page.

  • If your information is too broad, ZabaSearch will ask for more specific information to narrow down the choices. Fill in as much information as you can, and then click "Free People Search," and a new page will open with a list of information.

  • Scan the list of information to find out if the person you are searching for is listed. You can click the name, which will take you to a map that pinpoints the person's address.

WhitePages

  • Open your Internet browser and go to "WhitePages.com."

  • In the fields provided, type in as much information as you know. You must type in the last name of the person. Type in the first name and city, state or zip code if you know that information.

  • Click on the "Find" button, which will direct you to the next page that will have your search results.

  • If WhitePages does not find the person you are looking for, consider changing your search results. For example, maybe the person you are searching for moved cities, so you should just search for her by name or by her name and the state you think she lives in.
