How to Unlock All the Dogs in Nintendogs
"Nintendogs" is a video game for the Nintendo DS. One of the best features of the game is the wide variety of dog breeds that can be raised. However, because there are such a large number of breeds, collecting all of them can be quite a challenge. The primary way to obtain new dog breeds is to earn trainer points. As you earn trainer points, new breeds will become available in your virtual dog kennel. There are also two special breeds that can only be accessed by finding special items while taking your virtual dog for a walk.

Standard Breeds

Plug in the DS so that it won't run out of battteries.

Give one of your dogs a bath.

Brush the dog. When you brush the dog do not move the brush around like you normally would. Instead, place the brush on the middle of the dog and let it sit there.

Go about your day and wait for the trainer points to add up. As long as the brush is sitting on the dog you will continue to earn trainer points without having to do anything.

Go to the dog kennel and use the trainer points you earned to buy new breeds.
Special Breeds

Take one of your dogs for a walk.

Look for a present containing a fireman's hat. Once you find this item, the dalmatian breed will be available at the dog kennel.

Look for a present containing a Jack Russell book. Once you find this item, the Jack Russell breed will be available at the dog kennel.

Tips & Warnings
To acquire new breeds without earning trainer points, play the game in "bark mode" with a friend. If your friend plays with a breed that you don't currently have, the breed will be available the next time you visit your dog kennel.
