How to Get a Patent in Malaysia
The patent process in Malaysia is relatively straightforward and involves a minimum of hassle for inventors; the wait time for new patent applications, however, can be daunting. For a Malaysian patent to be granted, inventions must be truly new, not easily recognized by professionals in relevant fields and applicable in industrial settings.

1
Draft a narrative, called a specification, describing your invention in detail, and include all relevant claims of origination. Elaborate on how your invention works, how it is constructed, the purposes it serves, and the outcomes it produces. Describe step-by-step mechanical processes, as well as the theories and concepts at work in the design. Claims are direct statements of personal origination dealing with specific attributes of your invention; separate claims from the main body of the narrative, and make sure they are clear and concise.
-
2
Create technical drawings of your invention; pay special attention to the aspects that are truly new and unique. Draw your invention from all relevant angles, and include partial, internal drawings that clearly show how the invention is constructed and how it functions. Consider creating a working prototype, or at least taking several photos, to submit along with the drawings.
