1
Employ the help of all of the members on your team to pick a team name. By doing so, you are encouraging teamwork and cohesiveness among the team. If you make this a "solo" project, the rest of the team may feel animosity toward you. This is not the way you want your team to get started.

2
Think of the qualities or the spirit you want your team to manifest. Choose a name based on those qualities. For example, if you want your team to be the fastest team, you can choose a name like "The Cheetahs." You can even make up your own word. For example, if you want your team to represent the giving of inspiration or encouragement, you can choose "The Inspirators" or "The Encouragators."

3
Avoid choosing a team name that requires others to look in a dictionary to find its meaning. One of the fun parts of having a team name is that it signals to the other team what your intentions are towards them or what your team is known for. As an example, you can name your team "The Overthrowers" instead of "The Abrogaters."

4
Refrain from choosing a name that will be offensive to others. Names that have sexual, racial, or religious innuendos should avoided.
-
5
Vote on all of the suggested team names. The voting should be done as a team. The name that gets the most votes should be the adopted team name. If the vote is tied, your team can place the "tied" names in a bucket for a drawing. The name that is drawn from the bucket will be the adopted team name.
