How to Install Speaker Balance on a Computer
Windows has a built-in sound panel that allows users to change the speaker balance on their computer. While different types of sound cards may have additional sound controls depending on the brand, the Windows sound control offers basic universal control over speaker balance, volume and tone.

Click on the “Start” button, then click “Control Panel.”

Click on “Sounds and Audio Devices” in the Control Panel to launch the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties.

Navigate to the “Audio” tab.

Click the “Volume” button under the “Sound Playback” section. This will open up your sound control.

Adjust the balance by using the sliding adjustment for each section. Adjusting the balance for “Volume Control” will change the speaker balance for all sounds on the computer. Adjusting the balance for individual sections like “Wave,” “SW Synth” and “CD Audio” will only affect that particular playback mode and not all sounds on the computer.

Close the “Volume Control” window when you have made all of your modifications.

Click on the “Start” button, then click “Control Panel.”

Click on “Sound” in the Control Panel to launch the Sound window.

Navigate to the “Playback” tab.

Click on “Speakers” once to highlight it, then click “Properties.”

Navigate to the “Tone” tab. Here you can adjust your bass and treble balance.

Navigate to the “Levels” tab.

Click on the “Balance” button next to the sound type you wish to change.

Use the slider to change the speaker output for the left and right speakers, then click the “OK” button.

Click the “OK" button in the “Speakers Properties” window to complete the balance changes.

Tips & Warnings
Individual media players may also have equalizers and balance control that will affect the way sound is played on the particular media player.
