How to Crochet a Round Lace Tablecloth
Crocheted lace is a technique that requires a good deal of patience. The tiny stitches with a small hook and lacy yarn or thread make crocheted lace a time-consuming project. In order to crochet a round lace tablecloth, you will need plenty of time, but the resulting project will be a stunning family heirloom to pass down through the generations.

1
Chain two and make six single-crochet stitches in the second chain from the hook. Join with a slip stitch to form a circle.
-
2
Chain three, which counts as a double-crochet stitch. Make a double crochet in the same stitch as this chain and then make two double-crochet stitches in every stitch around it. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the chain-three you made to start the round.

3
Chain-three and make two double-crochet stitches in the next stitch, followed by one in the following stitch. Repeat this pattern around the circle and join with a slip stitch.

Increase the next several rows in the following manner: chain-three, which still counts as a double crochet, then make a double crochet in the next stitch and two in the stitch after that. Continue this pattern: make a double-crochet stitch in two consecutive stitches and two double crochets in the third. For the next round, you will make three individual double crochets before making two in one stitch. Continue to increase one individual double crochet in your pattern around each consecutive round.

Stop when your tablecloth has reached its desired circumference. Cut your working yarn and finish off, using an embroidery needle to weave in any loose ends. Gently iron your finished tablecloth to smooth out the pattern of the stitches and then display it with pride.
