How to Disable Pop Up Blockers for Yahoo Games

Although pop-up advertisements and notices can be annoying, some sites rely on them to display their content. This is true with Yahoo! games. If you play games on Yahoo!, you may need to disable your pop-up blocker. You can disable it completely or you can allow for pop-ups from just the Yahoo! site.

Instructions

Internet Explorer 7 and 8

1. Start your Internet Explorer.

2. Hit "Tools" in the main menu bar.

3. Scroll down and hit "Pop-up Blocker." Scroll over and click "Turn Off Pop-up Blocker."

4. Optionally, you can scroll down and hit "Pop-up Blocker Settings." Type the URL of the Yahoo! game you are playing. Hit the "Add" button. Click the "Close" button.

5. Close all windows and restart your browser.

Firefox

1. Start your Firefox browser.

2. Hit "Tools" in the main menu bar.

3. Scroll down and hit "Options." Click the "Content" tab. Uncheck the box next to "Block pop-up windows." You can also leave the box checked, but click on the "Exceptions" button. Type in the Type the URL of the Yahoo! game you are playing in the field and click the "Allow" button.

4. Close all windows and restart your browser.
